‍El Paso Locomotive was founded as part of MountainStar’s continued mission to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life in the region, spur economic development, and bring communities together through sports and entertainment.  

Locomotive currently plays at Southwest University Park. To provide a first-class facility for the Locomotive, MountainStar Sports Group was one of the first organizations in the U.S. to employ a retractable pitcher’s mound, turning a ball field into a soccer pitch within eight minutes. Locomotive also has state-of-the-art training and practice facilities on a campus not far from Southwest University Park.  

El Paso Locomotive FC also supports a youth soccer academy in coordination with its pro team. The Locomotive Youth Soccer Academy is active year-round and hosts teams and soccer programs for children of all ages and skill levels.
