The El Paso Chihuahuas are the Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. Since the gates opened at Southwest University Park in 2014, more than 3.3-million guests have attended Chihuahuas games and the team has won numerous awards for providing the highest quality and most affordable entertainment in the Borderplex region. FC Juárez is a professional Mexican football club in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, playing at Estadio Olímpico Benito Juárez. The pride of Ciudad Juárez, Los Bravos competes in Liga MX, the top professional division of Mexican football. Started in 2015 as a second-division team in Ascenso MX, Los Bravos won the Apertura Title in 2016 and earned a finalist appearance in each of the next two years. In 2019, MSSG and its FC Juarez partners purchased Puebla Lobos BUAP of Liga MX, allowing FC Juárez to play as a 1st-division team in the Mexican Football Federation. As part of its belief that “sports transcends borders”, MSSG is proud to have established a popular cross-border rivalry between FC Juárez and El Paso Locomotive FC.
El Paso Locomotive FC is El Paso’s premier soccer club, competing in USL Championship. The club reached back-to-back Western Conference finals in its first two years of play and earned a third consecutive playoff berth in its third year. The Locomotive won the Copa Tejas Supporter’s Trophy in 2021 and became the first team to win the Copa Tejas shield as the best team in Texas across three leagues.
